“Queen & Slim” Official Trailer Released (Video)

Universal Pictures released the first trailer for its new drama Queen & Slim, a love story-turned nightmare, during the 2019 BET Awards on Sunday.

Penned by Lena Waithe (The Chi), the story follows a couple – Slim (Daniel Kaluuya) and Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith), whose first date takes an unexpected turn when a police officer pulls them over. 

Bokeem WoodbineChloë Sevigny, and Sturgill Simpson are all in the cast with Melina Matsoukas directing.

Queen & Slim hits theaters Nov. 27. Check out the trailer below.

Comic Con: Marvel Phase 4 Plans Revealed – “Thor 4,” “Black Widow,” “Eternals,” “Blade” Reboot And More

Marvel announced a number of big upcoming titles at its panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Saturday. According to the studio’s president Kevin Feige, the following projects will be released over the next two years.

“Hustlers” Trailer Starring Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu and Cardi B Released

The trailer for STX's upcoming movie Hustlers starring Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians), Julia Stiles (Riviera), Keke Palmer (Pimp), Lili Reinhart (Riverdale), and Cardi B. has been released!

Adapted from a 2015 New York magazine article The Hustlers at Scores, the film follows a group of strip club employees who join forces to con money from their Wall Street clients.

Lorene Scafaria (The Meddler) wrote and directed the film. STXfilms is producing alongside Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina.

Samira Wiley Shows Support To Her Nephew Asante Blackk – The Youngest 2019 Emmy Nominee

Samira Wiley is one proud auntie! The Orange Is The New Black actress posted a heartwarming message to her nephew Asante Blackk, congratulating him on his Emmy nomination. He is the youngest among this year’s nominees.

As a reminder, Blackk played Kevin Richardson in Ava DuVernay’s mini series titled When They See Us, which was released less than two months ago on Netflix.

When They See Us snubbed a total of 16 noms, which topped the list for Netflix this year. The streaming platform received a total of 117 nominations across its series.
