Netflix has released the trailer for All Day and a Night, starring Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen) and Isaiah John (Snowfall). The generational crime drama is directed by Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther co-writer).
The film follows Jahkor Abraham Lincoln (Sanders), a soft-spoken aspiring rapper who struggles to survive in the midst of an Oakland gang war. Despite his efforts, the young man finds himself engaging in illegal activity that eventually lands him in jail. While behind bars, Jahkor faces his father, J.D. (Wright), the person he never wanted to be like. Now incarcerated, with the help of his estranged father, Jahkor sets on a journey of self-discovery.
