‘This Is Us’ Star Niles Fitch Plays Disney’s First Black Prince in a Live-Action Movie

Niles Fitch, best known for his role of young Randall Pearson in NBC’s hit show This Is Us, is joining the Disney family. The young actor stars as Prince Tuma in Disney+’s new sci-fi fantasy film titled Secret Society of Second-Born Royals. This role makes Fitch the first Black live action prince in Disney’s nearly hundred year history.

The Atlanta native tweeted on Friday, “Welcome Disney’s first Black prince @disneyplus”.

Per Disney’s description, the story follows Sam (played by Andi Mack‘s Peyton Elizabeth Lee), a rebellious princess of kingdom of Illyria, who discovers her superpowers and learns that she belongs to a secret society with a mission to keep the peace throughout the kingdom. Sam is joined by a group of young royals with extraordinary abilities.

Secret Society of Second-Born Royals will hit Disney+ this summer.
